Galloway, NJ (March 14, 2022) – Around 6:43 p.m. on Friday evening, March 11, a car crash with injuries took place at an intersection in Galloway.
According to local officials, the accident happened at the intersection of South Pitney Road and Highland Avenue. Police confirmed that a 58-year-old man made a left turn at the intersection when his pickup truck collided with a vehicle being driven by a 32-year-old woman. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained heavy damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One adult and two children sustained injuries in the collision. The male driver was rushed to Mainland Hospital with minor injuries. One of the children also sustained minor injuries but the second child was taken to Cooper Hospital by medical helicopter for treatment of serious injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
