Gloucester City, NJ (April 30, 2022) – Three people sustained injuries in a car accident that took place on Thursday afternoon, April 28.
According to Gloucester City officials, the accident happened around 1:15 p.m. Police confirmed that a driver was traveling in the area when they suddenly lost control on South King Street due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicle went into the Delaware River as a result, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One of the three people inside the vehicle was unconscious when they were pulled free from the vehicle. All three parties, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Due to the severity of the collision, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
