Linden, NJ (February 17, 2022) – Two passengers were hurt in a car accident that took place at a Linden intersection on Wednesday, February 16.
According to local officials, the accident happened at the intersection of North Wood Avenue and Gesner Street. A 20-year-old man was traveling south in his Nissan Altima when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle went off the side of the road at the intersection and struck a pole. One of the passengers inside the vehicle was ejected and the vehicle sustained immense damages.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The 16-year-old girl who was ejected from the vehicle was seriously injured and taken to University Hospital for treatment of her injuries. A second passenger, identified as an 18-year-old man, was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver was treated at the scene.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
