Philadelphia, PA (April 10, 2022) – Four people sustained injuries in a car crash that took place at an intersection in Philadelphia on Sunday morning, April 10.
According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened around 2 a.m. at the intersection of Springfield Avenue and South 58th Street. Two cars were traveling in the area when they allegedly entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to forcefully collide with each other. One of the vehicles overturned onto its roof as a result, leading to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. A total of two people were rescued from each car by fire crews. All four victims were hospitalized with injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
