Philadelphia, PA (August 7, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash caused traffic delays on Interstate 95 on Thursday morning, August 7.
An ambulance and a pick-up truck were involved in the crash that happened around 6:00 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-95, between Old Bridge Street exit and Cottman Avenue. News footage showed the scene, where the pick-up truck could be seen on its side, blocking some of the northbound lanes.
It’s unclear how many people were hurt, though EMTs were at the site. Officers with the Philadelphia Police Department also responded to the scene to aid the investigation, but details remain limited at this time. An investigation is ongoing, however, and witnesses were asked to come forward.
Our thoughts are extended to the injured victims and their loved ones in hopes of their full recovery.
Motor Vehicle Crashes in Pennsylvania
Multi-vehicle accidents are a common and serious threat on our roadways, often resulting in multiple injured victims and complex legal challenges. According to recent data from Pennsylvania traffic safety officials, head-on collisions, rear-end crashes, and T-bone accidents are among the most frequent crash types—and they regularly involve more than one vehicle and multiple parties needing medical attention.
Rear-end collisions are frequently caused by distracted or reckless drivers who ignore traffic signals or follow too closely. While determining fault may seem straightforward in some accidents, the reality is that liability in multi-vehicle crashes can be far more complicated. With several drivers, passengers, and insurance companies involved, identifying who is legally responsible often requires a detailed investigation and strategic legal approach.
The injuries sustained in these incidents can range from whiplash and broken bones to more serious conditions requiring extended care. Unfortunately, insurance companies may attempt to downplay injuries or deny coverage for ongoing treatment, wage loss, and other vital expenses—especially when several victims are seeking compensation from the same policy.
