Somerset County, NJ (June 24, 2025) – A 35-year-old woman was killed over the weekend of May 22 when she was ejected from a motorcycle on Interstate 287 North in Somerset County, authorities said.
The woman was a passenger on a motorcycle traveling on the highway along with a passenger vehicle at about 10:20 p.m. when the vehicles collided near milepost 28.4 in Bernards Township, according to New Jersey State Police.
As a result of the collision, the vehicles veered off the right side of the road. The woman was ejected and died from her injuries, state police said. The 35-year-old driver of the motorcycle sustained moderate injuries. The driver of the car was not hurt, state police said. In the meantime, the Bernards Township Police Department is handling the ongoing inquiry and has asked any witnesses to get in touch.
