What Compensation Can I Recover After a Bicycle Accident in Ardmore, PA?
After a bicycle accident in Ardmore, you may be eligible to pursue multiple types of compensation. These include medical bills, lost earnings, property damage, and compensation for pain and suffering. Each category reflects a different way the crash may have impacted your life.
Medical costs can add up quickly after a bicycle crash. Hospital stays, surgeries, physical therapy, and follow-up visits all factor into the total. If your treatment is ongoing, those future expenses may also be part of what you can recover.
A serious injury can keep you from working for days, weeks, or longer. Lost wages account for the income you missed while recovering. If your ability to earn is permanently affected, that loss may also be considered.
Beyond the physical pain, a crash can take a mental and emotional toll. Anxiety, sleep disruption, and lasting stress are real consequences of a serious accident. Courts and insurance adjusters recognize these effects as part of a full claim.
If your bicycle was damaged or destroyed in the crash, that property loss may also be recoverable. Personal items damaged in the accident, such as a helmet or clothing, can sometimes be included. Keeping receipts and documentation helps support this part of a claim.
A bicycle accident lawyer can review your case, gather relevant documentation, and identify which compensation categories apply to your situation. Legal guidance can help clarify what options are available and how to move forward. An attorney can also explain how local rules and insurance requirements may affect your claim.
