Barrington, NJ (January 13, 2022) – Around 5:30 a.m. on Thursday morning, January 13, a serious pedestrian accident with injuries took place in Barrington.
According to local officials, the accident happened in the early morning hours at 200 White Horse Pike around the area of I-295. A pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was walking in the area when they started to cross the street. The pedestrian was suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle. The SUV that struck the pedestrian remained at the scene but was badly damaged and had to be towed.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. The pedestrian was rushed to a local hospital for treatment, though their condition is not yet known. It is not known if anyone else was hurt as a result.
