Belleplain, NJ (July 8, 2024) – An accident occurred on Route 347 on Monday, July 8, and took the life of a 17-year-old from Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, New Jersey State Police (NJSP) said.
State troopers and fire crews responded to the crash at around 5:35 p.m. on Route 347 northbound near milepost 0.7, State Police confirmed. A Toyota driven by the 17-year-old, who was not identified, was traveling south on Route 347 when it was involved in a crash with a Ford pickup truck driven by a 56-year-old Bridgeton man.
The teen was airlifted by a New Jersey State Police-Southstar MedEvac helicopter to an area trauma center, but he later died. It’s unclear if anybody else was hurt. However, the crash remains under investigation, and no additional information is available at this time. Witnesses or anyone with additional information were asked to contact the NJSP or local authorities.
