Bensalem Twp, PA (March 3, 2026) – One man died, and four others were injured on Tuesday, March 3, following a three-vehicle crash in Bensalem Township. The collision happened around 4:34 a.m. on Street Road close to the Interstate 95 junction.
Police said a silver 2013 Chevrolet Sonic traveled eastbound on Street Road at a high rate of speed. Authorities reported the car went through a red light and struck a 2017 Dodge Journey. The impact caused the Sonic to go airborne, cross the median, and hit a 2015 Honda Accord before catching fire.
When emergency crews arrived, they found the Chevrolet fully engulfed in flames. The 44-year-old driver from Brooklyn, New York, had been ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two passengers inside the burning vehicle were pulled out by responders. The 43-year-old and 39-year-old passengers were transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in critical condition.
The drivers of the Dodge Journey and the Honda Accord were also transported to nearby hospitals. Officials described their injuries as non-life-threatening.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the deadly crash.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of the man who lost his life. We also hope those injured make a full and steady recovery.
How Can I Prove Negligence in a High-Speed Crash in Pennsylvania?
Traffic camera footage can help prove negligence after a high-speed crash. The video may show how fast a vehicle was traveling or whether a driver failed to obey a traffic signal. Acting quickly to preserve this footage can help clarify how the collision happened.
Police reports can also serve as important documentation. These records often include officer observations, citations, and scene diagrams. Review the full report to clarify and grasp how investigators determined responsibility.
Medical records and autopsy findings connect the crash to the fatal injuries. Clear medical documentation establishes the cause of death. This link is necessary in a Pennsylvania wrongful death case.
Crash reconstruction analysis can also help demonstrate fault. Experts study skid marks, impact points, and vehicle damage to calculate speed and movement. Their findings may show whether traffic laws were violated.
Eyewitness testimony often strengthens a negligence claim. People nearby may describe reckless driving, failure to stop, or other dangerous actions. Consistent statements can support the physical evidence gathered from the scene.
A wrongful death lawyer can review this evidence and explain how state law applies. An attorney can also make sure deadlines are met and filings are completed properly.
