Bergen County, NJ (October 1, 2024) – A Nutley man was killed and a toddler injured in a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike in Bergen County on Sunday, September 29, state police reported.
The crash occurred at around 9:10 p.m. on Sunday in the northbound express lanes near milepost 121.4 in Fort Lee, state police confirmed. Authorities said a Toyota Camry was involved in a collision with a Kenworth tractor-trailer in the right lanes.
One man sustained fatal injuries in the crash, police added. A 20-month-old child, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was injured but is expected to recover. The child was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported. However, the crash remains under investigation, and no further details were available.
