Bristol, PA (January 28, 2022) – Two people were injured in a tractor-trailer crash that happened in Bristol on Thursday afternoon, January 27.
According to local officials, the accident happened at 3:30 p.m. on Green Lane around the area of Airport Road. Police confirmed that a Dodge Challenger muscle car was driving in the area when the driver slammed into the side of a FedEx tractor-trailer. The truck was making a left turn at the time. Police said that the Challenger driver must have been trying to avoid the accident, as there were skid marks in the area.
Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. Two people inside the Challenger were taken to St. Mary Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. Nobody in the truck sustained injuries.
Green Lane was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues. Police will update with more information as it becomes available.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of a full recovery.
