Bristol Township, PA (February 18, 2022) – One person was killed in a fatal train accident that took place in Bristol Township on Friday morning, February 18.
Officials confirmed that the accident happened around 7 a.m. in the Croydon section of Bristol Township. A SEPTA Regional Rail train was traveling in the area when it suddenly struck a pedestrian who was crossing over the tracks. The train was unable to stop in time to avoid the collision. The train then came to a stop at nearby Haunted Lane.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. Nobody on the train was hurt.
The area was blocked for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene. This led to delays for a short period of time.
