Chester City, PA (November 15, 2022) – On the late evening of Tuesday, November 15, at about 9:30 p.m., an automobile collision occurred on a major Chester City road, resulting in victim injuries.
According to local police, the incident occurred in the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 between the Commodore Barry Bridge and Highland Avenue. Initial reports released by the Philadelphia Police Department seem to indicate that two vehicles were involved in a rear-end accident.
Local paramedics, firemen, and other rescuers were sent to the scene of the multiple-vehicle crash to assist all concerned parties. Those injured in the incident were sent to local hospitals for treatment; however, it remains unknown how many people were transported or hospitalized.
Several right lanes were limited due to the severity of the wreck. As of late Tuesday evening, no new information had been disclosed, and the inquiry into the circumstances leading up to the collision was still underway.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time.
Multi-Car Collisions on Pennsylvania’s Highways
Highways and massive, heavily-traveled thoroughfares, especially those that run through the state’s densely populated cities, are renowned for being among the most hazardous locations in the country for major car accidents. There are simply too many traffic accidents each year. In addition, researchers predicted that Pennsylvania would see more than 107,000 multiple-driver accidents by the end of the year 2020.
When drivers flout traffic restrictions or behave carelessly on the surrounding roads and streets, accidents of this kind may occur in the blink of an eye. Additionally, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI), driving while distracted by the phone or radio, and driving at excessively high speeds may all contribute to automobile accidents.
Every driver is required by law to drive safely and avoid endangering or hurting other motorists and pedestrians. Not every driver meets this requirement. When drivers behave irresponsibly, they risk causing serious accidents for other drivers. There might be serious physical, emotional, and financial consequences. Despite your reluctance to pursue legal action, it is sometimes necessary to discuss or analyze your case with a seasoned auto accident attorney.
When attempting to navigate Pennsylvania’s complex legal system, you will almost certainly encounter questions and hurdles for which you cannot provide adequate answers.
