What Are Parents’ Legal Options After a Child Is Hurt in a Crash in Levittown, PA?
When a child is hurt in a traffic crash in Levittown, a parent or legal guardian can file a personal injury claim on the child’s behalf. Pennsylvania law allows parents to pursue compensation for a minor’s medical expenses, pain, and long-term care needs. Because the child cannot bring a claim independently, a parent acts as the representative in any legal proceeding.
Bucks County roads see steady vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and stretches like Bristol Pike, New Falls Road, and Woodbourne Road carry significant volume in and around residential neighborhoods. Young riders on bikes and e-bikes frequently share these corridors with fast-moving vehicles, and crashes near school zones are not uncommon. Children struck in these collisions can face serious outcomes such as skull fractures, brain injuries, broken bones, and internal trauma that may require long-term rehabilitation and follow-up care.
A personal injury attorney can help a family review the available evidence, assess liability, and identify what legal steps may be possible going forward. Legal guidance can help clarify what types of compensation may be available, including coverage for ongoing medical treatment, rehabilitation, and other costs tied to the child’s recovery.
