Corry, PA (June 12, 2023) – Just west of Corry, a deadly collision forced the closure of a stretch of Route 6 on Monday afternoon, June 12.
On Monday, around 2:15 p.m., witnesses in the 13200 block of Route 6 reported hearing a loud noise. Troopers said two trucks collided; one was pulling a trailer full of other automobiles.
At least one victim was reported dead at the scene, and the coroner arrived shortly thereafter, though authorities did not release specifics about those involved. It’s unclear if any victims suffered injuries in the incident.
Route 6/Highway 89 was shut down at North Center Street for several hours. An investigation remains active in the meantime.
Our deepest condolences go out to the deceased victim’s family. The injured victims and their families are in our thoughts, and we hope for their full recovery.
