Dauphin County, PA (December 22, 2023) – According to the police, a major multi-vehicle accident caused the closure of part of Peters Mountain Road on Thursday morning, December 21, and officers say that at least one person was seriously injured.
The incident occurred at around 6:35 a.m., per information provided by emergency dispatch. A Life Lion helicopter was also requested by responding authorities, and at least one victim was airlifted to a local hospital from the scene. Troopers with the Pennsylvania State Police in Lykens instituted a road closure between Mountain Road and Creek Road, per the PennDOT. PSP officials are also asking anybody with knowledge about the accident to contact them. No further details were made publicly available in the meantime.
