Downingtown, PA (March 20, 2022) – One person was killed in a fatal motorcycle crash that took place at a Downingtown intersection on Friday evening, March 18.
According to Chester County Police, the accident happened around 5 p.m. at the intersection of West Uwchlan Avenue and Whitford Hills Road. A motorcyclist, who has not yet been formally identified, went through the intersection when the vehicle was struck by an SUV. The driver of the SUV remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The motorcyclist was severely injured as a result of the accident. They were tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the collision continues.
