Fair Lawn, NJ (July 12, 2024) – One man was apprehended after another man was struck by a car following an apparent crash in Fair Lawn on Thursday, July 11.
A 70-year-old man was struck and injured just before 7:30 p.m. The victim said he was with his 27-year-old son when their car, a gold Toyota Camry, was struck by a white Hyundai Sonata on Plaza Drive near Route 208.
The driver of the Hyundai, a 66-year-old man, then backed up, made a U-turn, and hit the man. The victim was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity, and charges are apparently pending. However, an investigation remains ongoing. In the interim, officers with the Fair Lawn Police Department asked any witnesses to come forward right away.
