Hamilton Township, NJ (April 4, 2024) – A Pine Hill woman was killed in the crash on Black Horse Pike near High Bank Road on Wednesday, April 3, per local authorities.
Four adults and a child were hospitalized after the wreck, a three-car crash that occurred at around 2:15 p.m. Investigators said a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox driven by a 30-year-old Voorhees man and a 2011 Honda Civic driven by the woman “made contact” while driving west on Black Horse Pike.
The contact caused the Honda to cross the median, causing the car to be hit by an oncoming 2015 Ford Fusion driven by a 40-year-old Hammonton woman. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The Chevy driver, Ford driver, and two passengers were brought to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City with non-life-threatening injuries. A child passenger also suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was sent to Cooper University Medical Center. Authorities have reported that all injured parties are expected to survive, but no other details were released. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
We offer our deepest condolences to the deceased woman’s family. Our thoughts are extended to the injured victims and their families in hopes of their full recovery.
Car Accidents in New Jersey
Every day, dozens of people are injured or killed in vehicle accidents in New Jersey. Even though most of these collisions are mere “fender benders,” victims of any accident may suffer significant injuries. In fact, 59,500 persons in New Jersey were injured in automobile-related incidents this year alone.
Serious car crashes may happen on any roadway, although they happen more often on heavily used thoroughfares and intersections. Moreover, a car accident may change your life forever and can happen in a second. But when you’ve been hurt in an accident that was not your fault, you can and should consult with an attorney who will advocate on your behalf.
It goes without saying that the aftermath of a vehicle accident is difficult to handle on your own. Thankfully, experienced personal injury attorneys in New Jersey can help victims of car accidents navigate the complex legal system and construct the most compelling case possible on their client’s behalf. In addition, your lawyer may advise you on how to gather evidence in support of your claim. The following elements must exist for your case to succeed:
- You and every other motorist are entitled to a reasonable “duty of care” or caution from other drivers.
- An at-fault driver has violated this duty of care.
- Your crash occurred because the other motorist disregarded their duty of care.
- Your injuries and other losses may be traced back to the accident as the primary cause.
