Hamilton Township, NJ (March 14, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a serious pedestrian crash that took place in Hamilton Township on Monday afternoon, March 14.
According to Hamilton Police, the accident happened around 3:40 p.m. at the intersection of Edinburg Road and Stamford Road. Police confirmed that a 56-year-old woman from the area was traveling eastbound on Edinburg when she came to the intersection and went through. This is when she struck an adult and his two children as they were attempting to cross the street. The driver stopped and remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The 39-year-old male pedestrian and his two children sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident. They were all transported to Capital Health Hospital for treatment.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision remains ongoing.
