Hopewell Township, NJ (May 23, 2024) – Hopewell Township Police were called to a major vehicle collision on County Route 518, located just outside of Hopewell Township, on Tuesday, May 21.
When the police arrived at the scene around 3:30 p.m., they discovered two wrecked vehicles, one of which had run off the roadway, near Aunt Molly Road and The Kings Path. According to the preliminary inquiry, the driver of one of the vehicles involved, a Saturn SUV, was pronounced dead at the site. EMTs also rushed to the site of the crash to assess others for injuries, though the total number of victims hurt in the collision remains unknown.
Officer George Peterson and Detective Steven Ciosek of the Hopewell Township Police Department, together with Detectives from the Serious Collision Response Team of the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office, are investigating the collision. Witnesses were asked to contact Detective Steven Ciosek.
