Local officials responded to the scene of the fire, which broke out suddenly in a home at 300 Heathcliffe Road around 12:56 p.m. Fire crews arrived after multiple calls, where they found that smoke and flames were coming out of the rear of the home. When they went through the home, they found an adult male inside the home.
Paramedics were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The male who was found inside the home was seriously injured in the accident. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, though his current condition is not yet known.
Though police haven’t determined the exact cause of the fire, they claim that the original call was for an oven fire. The home sustained severe damage due to the fire.
