Magnolia, NJ (May 29, 2024) – A crash in Magnolia, Camden County, left one New Jersey American Water worker dead and three others injured on May 29, police reported.
The White Horse Pike was shut down in both directions after the fatal crash, which happened just before 10:00 a.m., according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office. The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office said a woman hit a curb, a bush, and four New Jersey American Water workers as she drove through the work zone on the 500 block of White Horse Pike. The northbound lane of the White Horse Pike was shut down for road work as crews were installing a meter pit near the Warwick Road intersection.
One of the workers was pronounced dead on the scene, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office. One worker was taken to Cooper University Hospital in critical condition. The two other workers were taken to Jefferson Hospital in Stratford with minor injuries, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office said. There were no other reported injuries, but the crash remains under investigation.
