Magnolia, NJ (January 19, 2022) – Around 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning, January 19, two people were killed in a fatal firetruck accident in Magnolia.
According to Camden County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of White Horse Pike and Warwick Road. A vehicle was traveling in the area when it entered the intersection and collided with a firetruck. Both of the vehicles remained at the scene but were extensively damaged. Police confirmed that there was a massive fuel spill due to the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Two people inside the van were pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. Two firefighters inside the truck were taken to Jefferson-Stratford Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The roadway was entirely blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. This led to delays until police were able to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the families of the deceased victims at this time. Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of a full recovery.
