Manchester, NJ (May 1, 2022) – At 2:17 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, April 30, one person was killed in a motorcycle crash in Manchester.
According to local officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Pasadena Road and Mt. Misery Road. Two motorcyclists were allegedly traveling eastbound when one of the motorcyclists started to pull off onto the side of the road. The second motorcyclist slammed into the rear of the other, which led to a forceful collision. Both of the motorcyclists were ejected from their motorcycles onto the road.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One of the motorcyclists, identified as a 66-year-old man, was severely injured and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second motorcycle, identified as a 57-year-old man, was seriously injured but expected to be okay.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene so traffic could resume as normal.
