Multi-Vehicle Accidents in New Jersey
According to recent data released by the New Jersey Department of Transportation, there has been a worrying increase in injury accidents across the state. In one recent year alone, there were a total of 78,789 injury accidents reported, marking a 5.7% increase compared to the previous year. This rise in accidents has raised concerns among officials and safety advocates about the need for stricter enforcement of traffic laws and increased public awareness campaigns.
Furthermore, the data also revealed that the majority of these injury accidents were caused by distracted driving, speeding, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Distracted driving alone accounted for 35% of all injury accidents in New Jersey. This highlights the importance of educating drivers about the dangers of these behaviors and the need for stricter penalties for those who engage in them. The Department of Transportation has announced plans to launch a new campaign to raise awareness about the dangers of distracted driving and to encourage safer driving habits on the roads.
