Merchantville, NJ (April 23, 2022) – A pedestrian accident took place at an intersection in Merchantville on Friday night, April 22.
According to Camden County officials, the accident happened around 10:21 p.m. at the intersection of Admiral Wilson Boulevard and Baird Boulevard. A pedestrian was walking across the street at the intersection when they were suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle that was traveling in the area. The driver of the vehicle stopped and remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was rushed to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Their condition is not yet known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
