Mount Holly, NJ (September 7, 2022) – On Tuesday afternoon, September 6th, an injury-causing vehicle collision occurred on a major road in the Burlington County area.
Police in Burlington County, New Jersey, said that on Tuesday afternoon, an SUV veered off the road, colliding with a fence and a tree, gravely injuring five individuals, including two children.
Around 2:30 p.m. on the Mount Holly Bypass in Westampton, a 48-year-old woman from Mount Holly lost control of her vehicle, according to local law enforcement.
The SUV went off the road, smashed through a fence, and crashed into a tree before coming to a stop in the backyard of a house on the 400 block of East Pennington Drive.
The driver and her four passengers, a male, age 44, a woman, age 27, and two boys, were taken to a local hospital by several rescue squads.
The boys are from Mount Laurel and Mount Holly, and they are ages 5 and 11. Chief Stephen Ent has stated that all five people are expected to survive but are currently recovering in the hospital.
