Auto Accident Fatalities in Pennsylvania
Millions of Americans are injured, and tens of thousands are killed in automobile accidents each year. In one recent year, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) claimed that 36,906 people died as a result of automobile accidents in the United States.
There are around 120,000 miles of roads and highways in Pennsylvania, with an estimated 102.8 billion miles of traffic every year. As could be expected, there were a lot of vehicle accidents across Pennsylvania in 2022 (115,938). Tragically, these incidents resulted in 1,179 deaths and 67,012 injuries.
As if that weren’t bad enough, the vast majority of auto accidents are caused by carelessness on the part of drivers. Negligent driving might include, among other things, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or while preoccupied with a cell phone.
However, if you have sustained catastrophic injuries or are uncertain of your legal rights after a car accident, obtaining compensation may seem like an uphill battle, even if you feel another driver’s careless activities caused your accident. Those unfortunate enough to be able to submit a claim owing to injuries have a voice and an opportunity to achieve justice after suffering injuries in an accident.
