Newark, NJ (May 24, 2024) – After a six-year-old girl was hit and injured by a vehicle on Friday, May 24, a portion of West St. George Avenue was temporarily blocked in the Newark area, per local authorities.
Around 8:45 p.m., the child was crossing St. George Avenue when the incident took place. Shortly after EMTs arrived at the scene, the victim was rushed to Newark University Hospital, where her injuries were thought to be non-life-threatening. Officers and area authorities reported no other injuries, but the girl remains hospitalized in the interim.
