Newark, NJ (May 31, 2023) – A man in Newark was killed early Sunday morning after being hit by a car, and authorities are investigating the incident.
According to a joint statement from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Newark Police Department, a 49-year-old man was hit and killed at around 1:55 a.m. in the 600 block of Springfield Avenue.
No arrests have been made since Sunday night, and officials have not provided further information on the incident or the driver that struck the man.
