Philadelphia, PA (April 26, 2022) – A woman was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident that took place in a Philadelphia neighborhood on Tuesday, April 26.
According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened at 12:43 p.m. at 3800 Parrish Street. Police confirmed that a Chevrolet Malibu was traveling west on Parrish when the vehicle struck a Ford Ranger that was parked in the area. The vehicle then went up over the curb and struck a pedestrian who was walking on the sidewalk. The Malibu then ran into the front porch of a home, where it came to a stop.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, identified only as an adult female, was critically injured and rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center for treatment. Her current condition is not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time following the collision. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
