Philadelphia, PA (March 5, 2022) – One person was killed in a fatal motorcycle accident that took place in Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon, March 5.
According to officials, the accident happened at 3 p.m. at 1400 West Norris Street. Police confirmed that a 30-year-old man was riding a motorcycle on a sidewalk in the area. At the same time, a driver was in a silver Jeep traveling northbound and making a left turn. Suddenly, the Jeep and the motorcycle collided with each other. The driver of the Jeep stopped and remained at the scene.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to Temple University Hospital with severe injuries. He was tragically pronounced dead there around 3:39 p.m.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
