Philadelphia, PA (May 21, 2023) – A hit-and-run early Sunday morning, May 21, left four people in the hospital, according to officers with the Philadelphia Police Department.
The incident occurred near the corner of 16th Street and Vine Street at about 2:00 a.m. After being flagged down by police for allegedly running a red light, the suspect allegedly sped off and collided with another vehicle, injuring all four occupants inside.
According to the authorities, the motorist then fled the scene on foot. Two victims are in very serious condition, while the other two are anticipated to recover fully.
No further details have been released in the interim, though an ongoing investigation remains active.
