Philadelphia, PA (August 10, 2023) – On Monday afternoon in North Philadelphia, a motorcyclist was killed as a result of a vehicle collision, per local authorities.
According to officers with the Philadelphia Police Department, the accident occurred at 5:15 p.m. on Monday, August 8th, near the intersection of 6th Street and Hunting Park Avenue.
Police said that a 41-year-old man was riding his Yamaha west on Hunting Park Avenue when the driver of a gray Ford F150 traveling east and attempting to turn left onto 6th Street collided with his motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital by paramedics in life-threatening condition and was later declared dead.
The driver of the Ford stayed at the scene to cooperate with the PPD’s investigation, which remains ongoing at this time.
