Philadelphia, PA (February 19, 2022) – One person was injured in an apartment fire that took place near an intersection in Philadelphia.
According to Philadelphia officials, the incident took place at an apartment complex located at the intersection of Torresdale Avenue and Bridge Street. The fire broke out in the early morning hours. When fire crews arrived at the scene, they found a portion of the apartment complex fully involved. This led to extensive damages to the apartment until fire crews were able to bring the fire under control.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. One person, who has not yet been identified, was injured in the fire. The injured party was rushed to Saint Christopher’s Hospital for treatment of their unknown injuries.
The area was blocked near the intersection for some time as fire crews worked to bring the fire under control.
The investigation into the circumstances of the fire continues. Police will update as more information becomes available.
