Philadelphia, PA (March 8, 2022) – One person was killed and another was hurt in a fatal crash in Philadelphia on Tuesday morning, March 8.
According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened around 4 a.m. at the intersection of Torresdale Avenue and Levick Street. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly entered the intersection at the same time, forcefully colliding with each other. One of the vehicles, identified as a white sedan, was so badly damaged that the front was crushed in and the top of the vehicle was sheared off.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person, who has not yet been identified, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. Another person, identified as a 46-year-old woman, was injured and rushed to the hospital. Their condition is not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the collision, the roadway was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
