On U.S. roadways and sidewalks, pedestrians’ danger of injury or death is far greater than those in automobiles. In this regard, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh are two good examples. Cities and other highly populated locations in the Commonwealth are more susceptible to such occurrences due to the increased foot traffic. According to government forecasts and traffic experts, at least 130 pedestrians died in automobile accidents in Pennsylvania in 2020.
