Philadelphia, PA (April 27, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a serious car accident that took place on a Philadelphia highway on Wednesday afternoon, April 27.
According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened around 2:29 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-76 around the area of mile marker 343.5. Several vehicles were traveling in the eastbound lanes of traffic when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result of the crash.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Most eastbound lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
