Philadelphia, PA (June 10, 2022) – Several victims suffered injuries in a multiple-driver collision that took place on a busy Philadelphia highway, just outside of Upper Chichester, late on Friday evening, June 10.
According to Philadelphia Police, the collision occurred in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 near State Route 452 and Market Street at about 11:40 p.m.
Two vehicles collided on the right side of the roadway, causing traffic to back up about one mile before Exit 2. The collision’s cause is unclear, however, the damaged vehicles were towed away after news footage showed both pulled onto the highway’s shoulder.
In addition to the PPD, Philadelphia Fire and local medics also responded. Authorities say that two or three individuals were apparently wounded and sent to neighboring hospitals for treatment, but their identities and their current conditions have not been made public.
