Philadelphia, PA (February 4, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a tractor-trailer crash that took place on a highway in Philadelphia on Friday, February 4.
According to Philadelphia officials, the accident happened around 7:20 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of the Schuylkill Expressway as traffic approached Belmont. A tractor-trailer was traveling on rainy roads in the morning hours when it suddenly collided with two or more passenger vehicles in the area. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
