Philadelphia, PA (July 26, 2023) – Two persons were hurt in a fiery hit-and-run accident that occurred over the weekend, according to officers with the Philadelphia Police Department.
Early Sunday morning, just after midnight, officers arrived at the scene near the crossroads of Christian Street and 59th Street.
A white Jeep driven by a woman is said to have collided with another vehicle, damaged several parked cars, and then slammed into a pickup truck head-on before catching fire, as reported by authorities.
The driver allegedly exited the vehicle and fled. EMTs arrived shortly after the incident occurred and transported two people to the hospital, but their current conditions are unknown.
Witnesses were asked to step forward to aid the investigation, which remains ongoing.
Our thoughts go out to the injured victim and their loved ones. We hope for their full recovery.
