Philadelphia, PA (May 15, 2022) – Several victims suffered injuries in a multiple-driver collision that took place on a busy Philadelphia highway early Sunday afternoon, May 15.
The crash happened in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 between Chichester Avenue/Exit 1 and Naamans Road at 1:45 p.m., according to Philadelphia Police.
According to officials, two automobiles collided in the right southbound lanes, causing traffic to back up to Chestnut Street and Exit 6. The reason for the collision is unknown, however, the vehicles involved were towed away after being pulled onto the side of the road due to their extensive damage.
Philadelphia Fire and EMS units also responded, as well as other emergency agencies. Two or three people seem to have been injured and sent to nearby hospitals for treatment, though the Philadelphia Police have not verified their identities or conditions.
