Philadelphia, PA (July 12, 2025) – Two people were injured, including a police officer, in a car crash in West Philadelphia on Saturday, July 12, police said.
According to police, the crash happened at around 3:52 p.m., when a marked police car crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of 58th and Spruce Streets.
Both the police officer and the driver of the other car were taken to the hospital with injuries, but their conditions are unknown at this time, police said. News footage showed a police car, a pickup truck, and another car appearing to have damage from a crash.
What led to the crash was not immediately clear, but the Philadelphia Police Department’s Crash Investigation Division was looking into the incident. However, an investigation into this incident is ongoing, and witnesses were asked to get in touch.
