Philadelphia, PA – Woman Injured in Pedestrian Crash on Broad St

Philadelphia, PA (January 5, 2022) – At 6:44 p.m. on the night of Saturday, January 1, a woman was seriously injured in a Philadelphia pedestrian crash.

According to officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Broad Street and Champlost Avenue. A 31-year-old local woman was attempting to cross Broad Street in moments of heavy rain when she was suddenly struck by a red 2007 Toyota sedan. The driver of the Toyota immediately came to a stop and remained at the scene.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. The pedestrian was critically injured as a result of the accident. She was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection.
