Pittsburgh, PA (February 27, 2024) – On Tuesday morning, a fire in the Bloomfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh broke out and caused injuries to at least one resident, said public safety officials.
At 11:15 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to the 3900 block of Mintwood Street. One of the residents of the dwelling, a 70-year-old man, successfully evacuated himself from the premises prior to the arrival of emergency personnel but sustained injuries. He was transported to the hospital, where he will be assessed for potential smoke inhalation, among other injuries. An investigation is still ongoing, as reported by the Fire Investigation Unit, and no further details were made available. The American Red Cross was contacted by authorities to aid the homeowner.
Our thoughts are extended to the injured victims and their loved ones. We hope for their full recovery.
