Fatal Vehicle Accidents in Pennsylvania
According to data collected from Pennsylvania roadways over the last year, rear-end crashes are the second most prevalent car accident. More than 20,000 incidents each year involving several vehicles are reported in Pennsylvania, so drivers there should exercise extra caution.
Reckless driving is a frequent cause of accidents. In Pennsylvania, cars disregarding traffic lights are the primary cause of rear-end accidents. Sometimes, it’s easy to see who’s at blame in a rear-end incident, but other times, it might be more complicated.
In a rear-end collision, the degree of injury is largely determined by the vehicle’s speed that caused the collision. Most rear-end collisions occur when one motorist suddenly stops, sending the vehicle in front of them careening into oncoming traffic.

If you were injured in a rear-end collision, the negligent driver who caused the wreck in question should cover your medical expenses and lost income. Unfortunately, when a policyholder is seriously hurt or even rendered permanently disabled due to a vehicle accident, the insurance company may attempt to avoid paying for the policyholder’s long-term care or lost income and future earning potential, despite their lack of fault in contributing to a wreck.
