Thorndale, PA (January 19, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a dump truck accident that happened on a major roadway in Thorndale on Wednesday morning, January 19.
According to Chester County officials, the accident happened around 6:32 a.m. in the westbound lanes of US-30 near Lincoln Avenue. Four vehicles, including a dump truck and three passenger vehicles, were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to unknown reasons. Due to the forcefulness of the accident, one of the vehicles overturned. The dump truck spilled its load all over the roadway.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more ambulances were present at the scene. Injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
Numerous westbound lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
