Toms River, NJ (March 14, 2022) – On Sunday evening, March 13, a man was killed in a fatal motorcycle crash that took place in Toms River.
According to Toms River Police, the accident happened on NJ-37. A 24-year-old local man was riding his motorcycle in a parking lot for Ocean County Power Sports. He entered NJ-37 after going over a curb, where his motorcycle tipped over. As the man was trying to get up, he was struck by a vehicle traveling through the area. It is believed that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
Several responders, including local paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The motorcyclist was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. The driver of the passenger vehicle, identified only as a 62-year-old man, was not injured.
